Kevin and Heathers University of Charleston Wedding was such an incredible day. They shared it with all their all their closest friends and family on a perfect first Saturday in October. The details from this wedding were some our favorites we've ever seen! From the board games station at the reception, to the D&D table markers, this wedding was so personal to the couple which makes capturing all the details so fun for me!
The bridesmaids dresses were the perfect shade a green to complement the tartan kilts worn by the groom and his groomsmen. Whether they guys wore anything under them or not will remain a mystery. Before the ceremony began I hung out with the girls and Brock with the guys while they were getting ready. As soon as Heather was ready we duck behind some trees as she went to meet Kevin for their first look. It was such a special first look with a few happy tears and endless smiles!
They both joined the rest of the wedding party for portraits just before the ceremony on the lawn. I am so in love with the magnolia trees! Everyone was in their place just as the bagpiper began to play Simple Gifts. As you'll see below, there was a very special surprise from the "flower girl" which brought a good laugh just before the bride walked down the aisle. I think UC's lawn in most of the most beautiful spots for a ceremony right on the river across from the the State Capitol. Their ceremony was set up right in front of the these giant evergreen trees on the end of the lawn which just happens to be a favorite spot of mine.
After a few portraits the brand new married coupled headed up to the ballroom where they joined everyone who was waiting to start celebrating the newlyweds!
